In response to COVID-19 restriction, we’ve had to temporarily scale back from the 20+ DTSes we usually run each year. Read more about our usual range here or find out about our upcoming July 2021 DTS and October 2021 DTS!
Encounter God and be equipped to reach the vulnerable, addressing issues such as human trafficking, the refugee crisis and prostitution. God is a God of compassion, mercy and justice, and as we know Him more, we come to know truth and are motivated by His compassion and can engage in His ways towards His redemptive purpose.
The Priceless DTS incorporates a focus on representing the justice of God to the world within the context of a DTS.
Authentic discipleship involves knowing God, walking in His ways and living for His priorities. We’ll start with 12 weeks in our Perth missions community, looking closely at what it means to follow Jesus. We’ll explore topics such as hearing God’s voice, worship, evangelism, God’s Fatherheart and more. Growth happens, not just in the classroom, but in small group discussion, in times of serving, sharing and community life. We include a special emphasis on issues related to injustice and we will focus on how to respond and minister to the vulnerable.
On outreach we apply and live out all that we’ve learned as we obey the command of Jesus to "go into all the world and make disciples." Our teams specifically focus on locations where human trafficking and prostitution are prevalent. There will be many opportunities to serve through teaching, advocacy, meeting practical needs, evangelism, reaching out to those involved in labor and sex trafficking. We will speak the love of Jesus while actively demonstrating His love and compassion.
We wrap up back in Perth, telling the stories of what God has done and preparing for what He has next. Wherever God leads you, you’ll carry His heart for the vulnerable, for issues of justice and you’ll be prepared to make a difference.
A DTS opens doors to all kinds of training and missions opportunities! Father Heart of God
We went to a town outside of Munich, Germany and began trying to visit one of the brothels. Brothel after brothel we were denied entry, until we came across one deep in an alley. We began to pray for open doors and that God would move there. Sure enough, two of my students were let inside with our contact and remained inside for quite some time. Outside, my team and I worshipped and interceded in the cold German weather late in the night. We spent two hours praying for these women and our teammates inside. During this time we heard God speak specific things to us as a group and would then pray it out. At one point, I heard God say that we needed to pray for salvation. Immediately, we prayed and cried out for salvation over the girls inside the brothel. Shortly after our team members came back out of the brothel and said "You won’t believe what happened! The girls have given their lives to Jesus. They want to meet you guys.” We broke out in joy and thankfulness, running to the front door to meet them. While talking with our teammates who were inside, we found out that everything we prayed for outside had been happening inside! To see God meet these women is something I will never forget!
